Stress is a signal given by our emotions and our body to let us know when we leave our center and start projecting ourselves outside. Stress can be induced by an inside or an outside factor. The most common inside factor is cracking the whip of our mind! That will launch its horses in a wild kick and makes us lose balance. All it takes is one thought and there we go on our wild mount, carried away in an emotional swirl, hooked like a fish at the pole! We donʼt know how to stay harnessed inside; instead, we let our mind run the show, and leave our center, stretching ourselves out of range. We get all excited, worried or depressed, according to the respond this thought is triggering within us. We donʼt know that we are out, and that the feelings we feel are –stressing– one thing and one thing only: “you are out of yourself”. There is nothing real going on, just our mind pulling us away!

This phenomenon is the most ancient habit we have contracted since day one of creation. For the sake of experiencing who we are, weʼve “projected” ourselves onto the screen of reality or form, whether those are concepts, possessions, social standings, or, of course, people. Since each one of us is an “Energy Being”, and that energy is hard to measure, to sense or feel, we have trouble realizing where we are. We never learned how to command our energy, since 1) we began in the game with a huge deficit due to the primary fragmentation, and 2) all we know is to go out, because thatʼs how we started when the Universe exploded, delivering its creation out through the initial “big bang”.

So stress comes handy, because if we didnʼt have this signal, we wouldnʼt know we were out, and would keep loosing more and more of ourselves, on top of being kept hostage in the places we already are projected into. Unfortunately, since we donʼt know what stress is, we are occultly victimized by it; we desperately try to eliminate it by working at the outer layers. We address stress in the field of its expression, putting a temporary muffler to it —eating, smoking, drinking, shopping, texting, calling someone, or in healthier manner with physical activities, sports and meditation—. We donʼt realize that even with this apparently perfect “stress management”, the true message of stress is still not received, if we donʼt come back from our projections. Nothing deep is accomplished. We stay wandering around in our controlled but unrealized life.

Stress can of course also come from an outside factor, when the reality we experience doesnʼt match the beliefs/data we carry inside, hustling off or collapsing our world and our values system. We can also call that an identity crisis. If one is invested/projected into a relationship, a business, a career, a social status etc, and that situation changes or is lost, “who I am” is shaken and stress takes over! Upon large projection on a situation, losing the situation will generate enormous stress, leading all the way to depression, also called identity crisis — “I donʼt understand, I am blue, Iʼve always been blue, everybody knows me as blue, my success, my family, my friends, my social status is coming from me being blue, so if I lose my blue, I am nothing and that is the anti-me, annihilating and depressing my sense of self”.

Stress, even the one we manage well, will in time settle in the physical body as a malfunction. We wonder why, all of the sudden, this or that is going off physically, not recognizing that weʼve not listened to the numerous stress signals, and how could we, since we know so little really about this predominant factor.

The good news is: upon coming back from our projections, we regain true self, and the tendency to get out subsides. We are re- identified with our original Source, fully aware of who we are, and the need for projection thus becomes obsolete. Stress turns into a faint hint here and there to make sure we remain alert about what we do with our “energy”, our “self”. In order to return from the projections, and own self entirely, one has to awake from the daze of the collective unconsciousness and the programing.  What this take as a starting point is the willingness to stop denying or declining any signal, whether it shows on the physical or emotional level. Stress is pain and pain represents a distance from our Source.
